The second course finished yesterday. We got to decorate a cake at the final class, putting together all flowers and using the techniques we (were supposed to have) learned. Weeks ago we made what is called run-outs. Quickly explained this is a shape, in this case letters, that you first pipe the outlines of and then fill with a more runny icing. Of some reason I chose to make the sentence it is as it should be rather than Happy Birthday or Merry Christmas that I probably would use more often. Well, it turned out to be a quite spooky decision . I lost a dear family member last weekend. The cake is dedicated to my family, and to write it is as it should be on the cake felt somehow very right. It is tough to lose loved ones, but if you can, do live after the meaning of the words it is as it should be.
