Once of those Birthday weekends, part 1

Yep, it this time of year I guess! Not that Rosie has any idea she is getting a Birthday Cake, but I had time over, needed practice and really fancied making a cake! The first rule of cake making; Don't ice the cake in the middle of the day if it is sunshine. Well, as they said yesterday on the weather forecast it should be rain and no sun I was all set midday. With the sun BURNING through the window I went for it anyways. And wow I had to pay for that. The icing is cracked, it dried soooo fast, and all my butter icing was almost more runny than milk! Hey ho, I covered some of it with roses and letters, and the worst part is on the back of the cake (not on the picture, obviously!) Tomorrow another one will be finalised! Update will follow!
